Last week the bamboo theatre came to School from Sydney.They came to teach us about cyber safety and cyber bulling .They showed us with three plays. I learnt that sending mean texts is cyberbullying.
Never give personal details on the intranet to someone you don’t know.
On face-book you never add someone you don’t Know because they might not be who they say they are.
Never go to meet someone off face book that you don’t know very well.
Never send out money or your credit card details on the Internet.
They told us alot about cyber safty and the play they put on for us was great!

On the first of march 2011 it was world maths and spelling day. World maths and spelling day is a day that you spend on the world maths and spelling day website competing against people at your age and level.
It doesn’t really mater if you win or lose the only thing that maters is how many points and how many games you have played. But you will get a participation certificate.
I will tell you what I got for world maths and world spelling day.
For world spelling day I scored 302 points and I particularly liked spelling day the best.
For world maths day i got a total of 429 points.
My age group was 11-13
I didn’t really like maths day to much.

This year we had a swimming carnival at the Glenorchy pool on the 11th of march. I was the Official so I kept the score of each house group. Davis won the swimming carnival mostly because of the participants from Davis. GO DAVIS GO
It was a sunny day perfect for swimming. I didn’t participate because I can’t really swim to well. Everybody in the high school had to go. The day before the swimming carnival we had house meetings. we were in the gym and one of the teachers from the other house group came in so we called him a spy. We spent the whole day at the pool then we went back to school in time to catch the bus home.

Today we are learning how to use images correctly with Miss w.
We can’t just go to Google to get images we have to go to a certain website (e.g FlickrCC ).
So we can get an attribution naming the photographer or owner of the photo. We are allowed to use the pictures from FlickrCC. But if we get a picture from google it might be copyright and we are not allowed to use it,because the owner of the image won’t let us use it without paying for it. If you use it without their permission they can sue you.

My Avatar is meant to look like me .
I like to wear my hair in a ponytail and my hair is golden blond.

In my last post I talked about my holiday and I mentioned Dismal swamp and I didn’t talk about it much.
Dismal swamp is a sinkhole it is called a swamp but it is really dry because the water goes straight underground.
It is a great place you have bike trails and the most used thing there is a big slide you go down to get to the bottom but if you don’t like to much trills you can walk down on a very short trail.Once you get down to the swamp there are a number of trails you can walk with hidden wonders and random interesting facts about the swamp. And not forgetting the cafe/information center is were you start because you have to pay entry to start your adventure.
Dismal swamp is not that far from Smithton ( look dismal swamp up on a map first) That just about it for dismal swamp.

In my holiday I went to Strawn and I went on the wilderness railway and I went to dismal swamp. I had a sleep over and I went to a sleep over.I got a goldfish and it died( cause unknown). I helped babysit for someone. I cleaned my room. We got a new fridge. My dad fixed the tractor now it looks brand new and we went shopping when the power was out and Iplayed with my dog Webster.I did some cooking for my Dad.
The rest of the time I stayed at home doing anything really. So that was my school holiday.

Search engines are web sites like google,bing and yahoo. We use them all the time but there are lots more. In ict we had to find 10 search engines and search something and wright down the results. Here are 3 different search engines.

Yandex
I like all three of these because they told me how many results there were.
